The job cost module is the most accessed of the Adagio modules we use as ALL our business is logged in and tracked by job number. As such, we are looking for a way to keep track of important information as relates to specific jobs. For example, we have some jobs that are COD and require our installers to pick up checks while at the jobsite. We have some jobs that we are waiting to receive fully executed contracts before ordering material. As we often are working on multiple jobs for the same customer, we can't flag the customer for these important issues, and need to have a way to flag the specific job. As there are no "alerts" in JC, I'm hoping someone has a suggestion to help us insure we don't order material before receiving the proper paperwork, or send our installers out without letting them know to get a check while onsite. These are only two of the many instances where we need to "flag" the jobs.
Using notes in JC is not adequate without the alerts.
Any suggestions?

I have added a suggestion for Job Alerts to the wishlist for a future release.

In the meantime, if you can find another text field to store this information, you may be able to add it to the list of fields displayed when the Job is selected from the finder.

For example, in Receivables if you are interfaced at the Job level, there are several text fields from the Job Master that you can add to the finder. Report Groups or Contract number, for example. There are 2 lines for the Job Description, perhaps one of them be used to contain this information.

In Payables, this information would have be in the Estimate Description.
