There is a minimum order field that exists in Adagio for each item. I would want an alert to pop up when a someone places an order for a part that is less than the minimum order. Is this possible?

When you say order, you're referring to a PO in Adagio PurchaseOrders?

If so, there is an option in the Company Profile on the Systems Options tab called 'Update stock levels on entry' that I believe you'll find useful. You can set it to Warn you about the item quantities or to enter the items needed to be ordered to bring stock levels to the minimum or maximum reorder quantity for the item.

Pay attention to the 'Consider outstanding POs' field setting also as it determines whether quantities on SO or PO or both or neither are considered in the 'Update stock levels' setting you select. It's located immediately beneath the first option.

it would be OE and inventory. The min level would be set in the item in inventory

So you are trying to prevent your customers from ordering less than a specific quantity of some item?

There isn't any process in Adagio to do this but if its just a few you could set up an Alert that would pop every time the item was entered. A little annoying but at least every time the item is added to an order there would be a reminder.

Could you define a sales unit that equals the minimum order?

For example dozen, box, palette or whatever.
