Hi Lucas,
We've seen this error within Inventory for a few reasons:
- A temporary file was not cleared out of the data directory, thus when a process is trying to create it, the file already exists. You mentioned looking up an item - does this mean using the SmartFinder on the item number field? If so, then get everyone out of Adagio, then if you see any files in the data directory of the form OEF### or ICF### (where ### is a 3-digit number), then delete them. If not the SmartFinder, please post the function you are trying to do when the error appears.
- Novell is the network in use and service packs for the workstation client are not up to date.
- An old Accpac Plus add-on application Item Number Change was in use and pending changes had not been cleared. This only occurred for older versions of Adagio Inventory.
Try these and post your results, including the resolution if you find the cause of the errors.
