Hi Lucas,
The 'Edit Items' and 'Item Inquiry' screens use different layouts for their grids, including the F5 and F6 finders. But the SmartFinder is keyed to the field (ie Item number), so it would use the same files for Edit and Inquiry Item. You indicated that Item Inquiry with Sales/Costs, accessed from OrderEntry (not IC) is giving the problem.
- When precisely are you getting the error? Immediately after pressing F6 on the Item Inquiry screen? Or when opening the SmartFinder screen and on clicking the Search button? Or another time?
- If you use Adagio Inventory, do you get a similar error doing a SmartFinder search for Display Items with Costs?
- Do you get the error logging into Adagio as SYS, as another user, or all users?
Something else you may want to do is try to remove any edits to your grids, such as the SmartFinder grid for Item Inquiry in OE. If you can get to the F6 SmartFinder screen without getting the error, edit the grid with the Column Editor (by double-clicking on the grey title bar). click the Reset button to put the columns back. Or if you get an error immediately upon opening the screen, you'd have to go through a back door. Edit the OEWIN.INI file in \softrak\oewin and look for a section starting with [grdSmartFinderICItems] or something like it. This is where column edits are saved. Delete this section header and all rows underneath it until you get to the next section with [].
The purpose of trying this is to see if a saved grid layout no longer conforms to the way the dictionary is laid out, due to an upgrade.
