The shipping version of Adagio Payables may resolve the problem with 'Print Index out of Range' depending on what exact procedure is causing the problem. Since you're on a current Upgrade plan, you can download this from the End User area of our website.
For instance, how are you 'selecting' the check printer? Is it by default the printer that shows up in the print options screen?
A similar error was reported when trying to select a different printer 'tray' in this area, but this has been fixed in the current shipping version.
You could try using the Payables Edit-Banks area to select the printer that checks are to be printed to, or in the File-Options area, selecting a 'Specific' printer to print the checks to instead of having to change the printer in the print options screen. (Or do both) to see if this helps.
