Question is regarding Adagio Ledger, version 9.3A 190720 running stand along on Windows 10.

My client has a series of statements that she uses Excel Direct to send copies to the bank, owners, etc.

When she does so, all of the % of sales columns as well as a a couple of total lines come across with #NAME? in these cells. When I look closer, I see that the Adagio Financial Reporter formula is in these cells, in stead of the values. For example:

=IF(SUM(Acc_T121),ABS(100*J16/SUM(Acc_T121)),0)

Of course, this is not an Excel formula so it returns the #NAME? error.

What's odd is that she also gets these #NAME? errors when she tries to print to AdagioPDF as well as an error saying NOVAPDF is not licensed.

When printing to good old Microsoft Print to PDF, it all looks fine.

Any ideas on how to fix?

Thank you,

Carol:

Have you tried checking the View | Customize menu option, the "Settings" tab and the "Values Only" option? That might solve the problem.

Hi Carol,

You may end up needing to clean up the T accumulator formulas that were left over from the statement conversion from Accpac Plus. They rely on Named cells, which might be an issue in the export to Excel. You'd be replacing the accumulator ranges with a defined cell range like D11 or D12..D20, for example.

Bruce's idea for using Values only is definitely worth pursuing as well.

Ok, sounds good. We will check out both options.

This is definitely a legacy statement that has been in use since converting from Plus in the very early days of Adagio.

I like Support's explanation better than mine. I didn't notice the T accumulators.

Hi Carol,

The statement should really be revised using all the tools that have been added to the Financial Reporter over the last 20 years. If nothing else, find the old ACCPAC Plus statement (which probably is still in the Folder with the Adagio data) and re-convert it. I bet you find that the conversion does a better job. If nothing else, it will convert it into SmartSheet with expand and collapse enabled.

(This client might also not be aware that you can drill down on a number in the Financial Reporter and see the underlying transactions!) wink

Thanks to all who replied.

Update -- changing to the values only setting worked. Sadly, that didn't occur to me since the stmt had worked for ages.

I agree that it would be worth changing them up to take advantage of some of the new features and we will when more convenient for the client. smile
