We've just updated all of our modules to the most recent versions and are getting an error message when printing to AdagioPDF: "Failed to create novaPDF COM object".
Is there an update to AdagioPDF that we're not aware of?

Hi Karin,
-is it happening on all workstations?
-was there a workstation installation done?

1-try rebooting the computer
2-if that does work, you can reinstall the pdf using \softrak\system\AdagioPDF\ReinstallAdagioPDFxXX.bat (pick 32 or 64 depending on your computer OS)

Hi Vickie,
I tried:
1-rebooting, no change
2-reinstalling using the network path (64bit), reboot, no change
3-copying the folder in 2 to the c: and reinstall, reboot, no change
4-uninstalling the AdagioPDF (novaPDF 7), reinstalling using the network, reboot, no change

Any other options I can try?

Just checked with IT and they confirm I do have administrator access on my computer.
It shows the printer driver re-installed but the same error message appears.

Hi Karin,

One other site that ran into this error message restarted the NovaPDF COM print server.

When uninstalling, most current versions of Adagio use the AdagioV2PDF (Nova 8.7) rather than the original AdagioPDF (Nova 7) driver. Do you have both AdagioPDF and AdagioV2PDF on the workstations?

I do have both printer drivers installed but was always told to use only the non-V2 version.

I believe that all current versions of Adagio call AdagioV2PDF.

Karin, try printing with v2. Don't know why you were told not to use it, but it should be fine and probably takes care of this issue.
