Hello,
We are running into data integrity problems after updating OE 9.3A with the 181214 update. This problem did not exist until the recent update. If we re-open an order and add or subtract lines, the order will complete properly but another version of the order can overwrite a different order. The order that is now overwritten has no order # and it cannot be opened for inspection or deleted. Data integrity checking stops and a backup must be restored in many cases. Other errors can be repaired and it reports orphan lines. We are using AR 9.2A at this time because of the credit card issues. The release notes show that AR 9.2A is compatible with the OE update.
With a test computer with Adagio with AR 9.3A, when we repeat the steps that caused problems, the data stays clean and the errors don't happen. Are there any problems with using AR 9.2A showing up yet? The update was installed a second time to see if the problems went away but no luck.

Regards and Happy New Year

Hi, Rick,

We're having trouble duplicating these issues with sample data.

Do you have a backup of OE-related data taken prior to the update to 9.3A(181214)?

Also, if you would run a Help | System Status from OE on the server (or w/s acting as the server) or run Softrak\System\ChkSys.exe and create an Adagio Snapshot, that might also prove helpful.

Please upload the data to our Softrak.com/DBR site. The snapshot can probably be emailed to TechSupport@softrak.com

Thanks.

Hi, Rick,

Further to our telephone conversation, we've found the cause of this problem and are working on a hotfix for it. Know that it will not be released today though.

For now:

- The problem occurs when a new order is created and, within this order, the Customer button is selected and a change to the customer information is made.

- When the customer change(s) is complete, the user sees a prompt from within the order that asks if they want to update 'All' of the customer information, 'None' of the information or 'Addr Only'.

- The user selects 'None'. This is causing information for another order to be incorrectly updated and, hence, is causing your problem.

- Until we can get a hotfix released, please 'do not' update your customer information from within the order itself and, if you do, 'do not' select 'None'.

Thank you and your staff for their assistance in tracking this issue down.
