At the end of last month I was unable to retrieve the A/R 9.3A batches into the G/L. Error said invalid record type, ARALBTCH.dat file was damaged. I printed out the G/L in receivables to make journal entries, renamed the ARALBTCH.dat file, and reprinted the G/L to make sure everything was gone. When we started posting batches in receivables for the current month the ARALBTCH.dat file recreated itself. I thought that would solve the problem however I am having the same problem this month. Any ideas??

Hi Peggy,

There may be a mismatch between your program version and the batch resource data file ARBRSCAL that writes to the GL retrieval batch.

This may best be investigated alongside your Adagio consultant.

I worked with the client, I took your suggestion and brought in a fresh batch resource file from SAMDATA. I deleted her ARALBTCH file as it was corrupted. Tested on a copy of the data postings and the problem cleared up. Their AR data had been placed in three separate folders back in their ACCPAC days. They retrieved AR data into one common General ledger. They did not have a shadow GL in the separate AR data folders so I copied their shared GL to the respective folders .
