Hello,

We have a situation with the Adagio login being very slow. We are at the latest in terms of Adagio software but when you log in it takes up towards 1 minute or longer to finally log into the module (doesn't matter which module).

As a test we loaded the program(s) locally and the data locally on the workstation in question and it was fast as was expected. We blew away the local instance and ran WKSETUP (all installed without issue) but when you logged in the same data we accessed locally it took up towards 60 seconds to log on.

We then copied the data locally again but access via the workstation setup and still slow.

I have checked with their IT guy and he has told me the whole Accpac folder on the network has virus turned off (this includes the data and Softrak folder).

The server is a WINDOWS 2016 server and network connections are 1 gig.

This is a brand new workstation and server and workstation have RAM and speed so that is not an issue.

Not sure what else to try.

When you click on the icon do get to the log in screen that is fast it is when you hit the OK button to log into the data is when you have to wait it out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Scott,

Did you run ChkSys while logged directly onto the server and create an Adagio Snapshot? If so, did you then check the w/s logs for their w/s's and the server to see if OpsLocks was enabled or disabled?

The setting should be the same on all w/s's running Adagio and on the server. These days, all w/s's & servers come from the factory with OpsLocks enabled. We've found that, when enabled, the amount of time it takes between clicking on the Open button and the program main window becoming fully active is substantially reduced.

If a change to the setting(s) is made, the equipment needs to be restarted in order for the change to the registry to be read.
