I have a batch in the GL that was imported with period 5 and period 6 entries. I want to split it into 2 batches and only post the period 5 entries now.

I used to do this by selecting the period 5 items and moving them to a different batch but recently i have been having issues selecting items within a batch.

I can select one item, then as i move the mouse it will randomly select another. When I intentionally select a third item all three will be selected but when I go to select a fourth the 2nd and 3rd will deselect.

I am also getting the mouse changing to a no (circle with cross through) when trying to select.

This does not happen to any other module but does happen to other users on our system.

Which version of Adagio Ledger are you using? 9.3A or earlier? The release date? You can check this from the Help / About menu.

Earlier this month, someone reported a similar or perhaps identical problem in OrderEntry 9.3A in this thread. Does this look like what you are running into?

As part of the Adagio DocStore integration with program versions 9.3A, on slower workstations, the mouse behaved as if it was trying to drag and drop something, when clicking on a record in a grid. If this mirrors your current experience, a fix would need to be made to Ledger to correct this. I do not believe there is one currently available.

Yes we are using 9.3A ledger and that sounds very similar to the issues we are experiencing.
We added docstore in April and I did not have this issue on my April month end but now experience it in May.

What version of Adagio Ledger are you running?

On another topic, why don't you want to post the Period 6 transactions? The financial reporter is completely period based, and your statements for period 5 will not be affected by the transactions posted to period 6.

the transactions in question are a retrieval from the bank rec program. I know I don't have to but I like to post those one month at a time to make sure that all my clearing accounts (AR and AP) balance to zero. I know I could do this with next month items posting too but I like to check it in excel first to see if there is an error to be fixed before I post so I create a single batch of all the bank rec transactions for the month so I can use the listing to get the posting totals and check it against the month end balances.

If I had the next month items still in that batch I would not be able to get the totals to do my pre posting check. so far after about a year of doing this I have found an error maybe 1 or two times now that I am used to using the programs integration but I'm still in the habit of checking.

If the situation you are running into is the same as what we had previously seen elsewhere, then when the cursor changes to what looks like a drag-and-drop icon rather than the arrow, you may be able to press the Escape key on the keyboard to restore the cursor back to allow grid selection again. I say 'may' because I cannot duplicate the wrong cursor on my workstation, but R&D offered this suggestion for now.

Well it does return me to the pointer on the mouse it still selects random items and will not let me keep a second item selected in the GL batches

I have no idea is it is related but its related to printing so it could relate to docstore too but every time I try to print statements to PDF in financials it creates the PDF and then reboots the financials module.

I plan to check if these issues persist when not checked by antivirus on Monday but our IT staff has been out of the office.

The financials might be another issue, which was reported a while back and seems pretty common. You may be able to use the work-around for that:

Just tried both issues without anti virus on and no change in the issues.
We are using Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows on the server side and nothing on the terminal.
