Hi Margaret,
I tested this too, with Payables version 9.2B, and for a 5-page invoice batch listing, I wasn't able to replicate a problem with blank pages on the Word document output, when I opened with MS Word 2016, from my Windows 10 workstation. We didn't change anything in version 9.2B to make this work better, so I don't believe that your running version 9.2A is the culprit.
The Crystal Word export still creates older 'DOC' style files, rather than the newer 'DOCX' files. Back in 2007, we shipped a utility in the \softrak\system directory called 'Enable Opening Adagio Exported Docs.EXE', which was to update the Windows Registry so that newer versions of MS Word would be able to open the older-style DOC and XLS files that exporting reports would create. Sometimes Word or Excel could not open the older files at all, or not well.
This is about the extent of help we'll be able to provide in this area.
PDF is available as an output source when printing Forms to file, such as Receivables customer statements, without purchasing or downloading anything else extra, since these are not based on Crystal Reports. For reports, you could also print to 'Printer', but change the source to something electronic like the Microsoft XPS documents or a PDF-based driver, to avoid Word if the output is consistently not good.
There is also an Adagio ePrint program that puts PDF as an output source for printing (along with Printer and Screen and File), and will not only create the report as a PDF, but automatically name it (say putting the batch number in the file name) and save it to a pre-determined destination of your choice. If this sounds at all interesting,
