We have 23 posting errors that is preventing us to move forward with our accounting. I have looked through the manuals, online through google and bing, and I cannot find a solution to posting these batches. There is no out of balance amounts. I have not closed last fiscal, as I am awaiting our Audit to be complete, and these errors are in next year batches. Last month I asked my AP, what the clearing accounts were, and she did not know, so we created banks in AP directing them to the g/l. We discovered the double payments and entries being posted to the g/l banks through AP & BR. So we quit using those accounts and continued to use the clearing account. I entered budget data for this fiscal (our y/e being Mar 31). I also, deactivated the departments we will not use this fiscal to prevent accounting errors. Can you help?

Hello Jaqlynn:
For an explanation of why the GL batch(es) won't post, print (or preview) the Batch Listing(s). In the case where there are recognised reasons to not post, you will see a list of reasons at the bottom of the report. Each will have a number and at least one of them will appear in the right-hand column of the the transactions listed above. That will tell you the reason(s) that the batches won't post. A likely cause is that the fiscal period is locked.
For an understanding of how the Payables and Bank modules use the clearing accounts, the Bank Reconciliation manual would be a good resource. Or, contact your Adagio consultant for their help for that and any other issues.

There are no recognized reason not to post. Batch 475 Errors: Posting Sequence 438. In the Errors column nothing is listed. 0 Errors found. when I go through batch to open it, and click ready to post and post, it just goes to a new batch number at the bottom of the list.
I went to the fiscal calendar, and found that 2012 to 2017 are open (none of the periods in either of those years are checked off as closed).
Jaqlynn.

Jaqlynn:
Print the Posting Journal report for posting sequence 438. On the report selection screen you should see an option "Print Error Posting Journal" once you select 438. Put a check-mark on that option and you should get an explanation of what happened.
if this doesn't give you what you need, you should contact your Adagio consultant for advice.
