After printing the Order Entry Print/Consolidate G/L transaction listing, the option to clear is not given.
We do not have Ledger installed.
Version is 9.2A

Hi Bill

The file you want to clear is called OEALBTCH.xxx (where xxx is your data extension) and the file is located in the data folder.

You can move or rename that file and it will have the same effect as clearing would have had. You can also delete it, but I would not recommend that because it's too easy to accidentally delete other important files.

I can do that, but shouldn't the option be available to clear the file once it is printed or saved to a file?
have not had this issue before and it is available with test data.

Ledger isn't installed but could there be GL tables existing in the dataset's folder?

I don't think so because the Receivables and Payables give the option to clear.
But I will check to confirm.

Hi, Bill,

I've confirmed that, if no GL data is present, when you print the G/L Transaction report in OE using the Print button, you are prompted 'Do you want to clear the G/L transactions?'. The prompt occurs when printing to PDF also and when printing to a Destination of File.

The problem, however, is that even if you respond 'yes' to the prompt, the transactions are not cleared.

When we closed May, April OE transactions that had already been retrieved and posted were again included in the OE GL transactions. Now when we closed June, April and May are once again included in the OE GL transactions to retrieve. We caught it and deleted before posting, but could this be related to the clearing problem above?
