I moved from Quick Check for DOS to Quick Check for Windows and now recently to Adagio Checks. I have used the same cheque specification that was converted by the program with each upgrade. I am now needing to change the cheque specification and have done so. When I save the spec, it saves with a prefix QC$ and these specs do not show on the drop down list on the print checks screen. The have the same file extension "csc" and show up in my data directory.

Did you remember to change the long name for the specification you changed under File | Specification options?

What name was the specification saved under?

I modified a converted file and it saved as QC$QCCSC.csc. However when I go to file/specification, the title is convertedQC#QCCSC.csc.

I did not know I needed to change the name. What should I be changing the name to? I have attempted to find this in the manual and am clearly looking in the wrong area, where would I find this.

It is the file specification description that is displayed when you go to select a specification to use. If you do not change the name, then you will not know which specification you actually chose to print. You may select any name. How about "New spec." - so that you can tell it apart from the old one?
