Running inventory 9.2A and using the column editor to edit the item inquiry/edit items windows. I make changes to the column width, but they do not appear to get "saved". I can add and remove columns, but not get the column width to save. Is there a way to make these changes global, rather than user based as well?

How are you changing the Column Width? Are you doing this from the grid itself similar to how you would do it in Excel? That wouldn't stick.

However, the Column Widths I've tried changing within the Column Editor itself do seem to be sticking. How many columns do you have on your grid?

4 columns on the grid. I double click on the header and change the width in the editor. It does not stick

AHA! I knew it was a checkbox somewhere with a missing check. is there any way to make these settings global (for all users)?

If you use the column editor as the SYS user, there is an additional option to 'set view for all users', which pushes the saved settings to all the other users. This only affects the specific grid edited, and if other users are allowed to edit their grids via security, then they could still choose to change the layout from the global setting.

Now I've just noticed in the item inquiry and edit items window that the formatting for my item number has gone away. My part numbers are **-********. The "-" is now missing in the list of parts. When i click find, the "-" is automatically placed after the second character. Any ideas?

Disregard that last post, after a restart everything came back the way it should.
