I receive the same error when trying to print an invoice batch from Sample Data. Also, same error for a manual check batch too. Also receive the Company Profile not found error when trying to print the open payables and company profile reports

Sorry, something is very weird here.
  1. You can print User Preferences so Crystal is properly installed
  2. You can print from Ledger, so ODBC is properly installed
  3. Your DICTs are correct - but they cannot be given the error you are reporting.

You need to post the EXACT error message you are receiving - preferably a screen shot of the message.

Or perhaps it's time to give your Adagio Consultant a call.

Thanks

How can I attach a document or paste an ALT-PrintScreen here. Doesn't seem to work and I have saved the errors to Word doc files as well.

If you click "Reply" you will see "File Manager" below the space to enter your reply and you can attach your Word document or JPG there.

I have attached 3 error files. One when printing manual check batches, another when printing open payables, and another when printing the company profile.

I would say your Dictionaries are damaged, or the Payables.EXE you are running is on a different drive than where you installed the Upgrade.

You could completely uninstall Payables and start the whole process again. As I said, Crystal is working and ODBC is working. You have a rights issue on the WINDOWS\TEMP Folder or the \SOFTRAK\Dicts Folder or the Dictionaries themselves are damaged.

If you right click "Properties" on each dictionary, this is what you should see:

If your Dictionaries are EXACTLY the same in size and date, then your Adagio Consultant is going to have to debug the rights and installation setup of Adagio. This is not making any sense from what has been described on the Forum.

Sorry.

Thank you...I'll take a look and get back to you on this. Possibly I may need to intall the upgrade directly on the server and not from my workstation.

Thank you Andrew for your assistance. Our server setup is a little unique, so once I saw the dict files, I realized Payabels 9.2A was looking for them where they weren't. Just need to copy them to the correct location and everything worked as it should.
Thanks again,
Carl

I'm glad to hear it is all working properly now, but your post begs the question - why did you need to copy the files at all?

Adagio expects there to be only a single \SOFTRAK\ Folder which contains all the Adagio modules in their own Folders referencing the database manager in the SYSTEM Folder and the data dictionary files in the DICT Folder, both of which should be at the same "level" as the module Folder.

Any other installation risks corrupting your data, and you should move to that module as soon as possible.

Why is you server setup any other way?

There is a two hour presentation at the Adagio Opportunity Conference on how the Adagio modules should be set up and what Adagio expects to find in the various Folders it references.

Edit Reason: Add question about setup.

Carl:

By chance is the shared folder name on your server 'Softrak'?
