Adagio allows you to associate a specification file with a Bank account. It reads all the files beginning AP$*.SAM when you first start to edit banks. Perhaps the named specification (AP$SAM01.HMC) has become damaged. Try changing its name (perhaps AP$SAM01.BAD) and editing the banks again.
