I was wondering if there was a way to set the default "ordered Field" in O/E details tab to 1.
We are currently trying to use a bar code scanner to enter in the part number, but since the default ordered is 0 a popup saying "The quantity ordered has a zero value. Do you wish to continue?"
If we could set this value to 1 it would be perfect.

Hi, unfortunately I don't think the default quantity ordered can be set within Adagio, although that would be an interesting suggestion to add a field to the item records to retain that information.

If you are seeing that pop-up prompt immediately after scanning, your scanner should be reconfigured not to add a return character after each scan to save you the trouble of cancelling.

You could print out a barcode for the value "1" and have it on hand to scan right after the item code. Your scanner should be tabbing out of the field automatically, and the qty ordered is the next field, so that would at least offer a way to do it without going for the keyboard.

I'll leave it up to you to decide how much easier that is then hitting the "1" key.

I agree with Warren's recommendations. I'll add that a client last week also requested the ability to default the Ordered Qty to 1 (or another predefined number). For some products in some companies, the order is usually Qty=1. It would be a nice addition to a future version.

If you are looking for efficient sales invoicing as opposed to order processing, CounterSales does default the ordered quantity to 1 and supports barcode scanners.

Multiple payment types are fully supported and reports at the end of the day can provide details on all the payment types and amounts that were accepted.

CounterSales can process Receivables Invoice Payments and provide the client with a receipt. Multiple CounterSales users can access Adagio data on a network and Remote desktop access is supported.

This was fixed in OrderEntry 9.3A (2019.04.08) and later. The quantity 'Ordered' defaults to 1.

No surprise here - a client is complaining that they WANT the quantity to default to 0 rather than to 1. They want to force their clerks to visit that field and they are afraid that the clerks might leave the quantity at 1 by mistake.

Is that possible?
