DataCare Upgrade V9.1A (140219) is missing important detection and rebuild capabilities for IC and PO data. We are running in to problems where DataCare is reporting "no errors", but IC and PO are reporting errors and also capable of rebuilding. We don't have time to run integrity checks on every module separately which is why we are invested in DataCare. May we please have DataCare updated to include the same capabilities as what's already in IC and PO? When will this happen?

Hi, Susan,

We'll need more specific detail about what errors are being reported in IC (what version/release date) and PO that are not being reported by DC.

As you know, there was one last minute change to PO8.1D DIC that did not make it into DC. As a result, while both DC & PO reported the issue, DC was not able to rebuild the errors. However, PO DIC did rebuild the errors and subsequently neither PO nor DC reported the errors again.

There was one last minute change to IC8.1E DIC that did not make it into DC. This change was for IC DIC to detect when a user had inadvertently included a CR/LF in an item number created by copying. This made the item unusable. IC DIC rebuilds this by removing those items. This fix is reported in the release notes and Readme help file. This was a problem reported by you,

If there are other errors that you are referring to, we'll need more information about they are.

Hi Softrak Support,

PO - correct.. you're right.. the errors were reported in DC but had to be repaired in PO.

IC - the last minute change you describe is the problem we had. We had an unusable item for months that we could not get rid of even at our fiscal year end. After I used PO to rebuild data the other day, I decided to try IC and was amazed that it fixed our item! :-)

I suppose all the "last minute fixes" are the errors that I reported.

We had 40 errors in PO last night and had to restore from a back up, run PO DIC and re-do the day end, plus other work to the batches in AP and Ledger and Inventory adjustments to resolve everything. One of the errors could only be fixed in PO DIC.

Orphan detail lines for Receipt RC -00011601 have been removed.
Orphan vendor total for Receipt RC -00011601 have been removed.

I am trying to figure out what is causing these errors to occur. We are assessing our hardware to determine if there is any instability.

Hi Susan,

Yes, both the last minute changes to the DIC in Inventory and PurchaseOrders were to make sure that you (Trenton) could repair the data you sent us without having to send it anywhere.

Our A/P person who does all of our Invoicing from PO was having some problems with her Windows 7 workstation. When she tried to shut down her computer, it would restart itself. Other strange behaviors in Windows plus several failed attempts to correct it, I decided to delete the partitions and re-install Windows 7. Since then several Invoices were processed from PO with no errors. I suspect the workstation instability may have been causing the data corruption in Adagio PO and very hopeful it is resolved now.
