Under Payments, Check Number Audit List.

AdagioPDF is the selected printer:

1. When I click on preview it will run until 19% and it will give me an "Error: 524 Print job busy ClosePrintJob <PEClosePrintJob>."

2. When I click on print, it will as if run and ask me for a filename and then give's me an error "Access violation at address 0564BF65 in module 'CRPE32.DLL'. Read of address 0274588D." And when I try to close the window it give me the "Error: 524 Print job busy ClosePrintJob <PEClosePrintJob>."

Both scenarios I cannot close the AP module properly but rather I have to end task it.

May I know what that error is and how I can resolve it?

Marlon

Hi Marlon

Some questions - when you select a real printer, does it preview OK? If so, the problem is with the AdagioPDF printer driver. Try the same thing on a different workstation, what happens? Try the same thing using sample data or another company's data, what happens?

Hello Steve,

I should've mentioned that earlier. I've tried it on both actual printer, AdagioPDF, different workstation and the same thing (issue/error) happens.

This issue seem to be happening only to a specific company data. I run the Data Integrity check and there were no error found. When I tried it on another company data, it is fine.

Hi Marlon,

That the problem happens only on one company data set, and for all printers attempted, suggests that the cause of the problem is not the printer driver but the company data. Probably 19% into the check number audit list file, there is a corrupted record. I don't believe that data integrity checks and reports errors on audit list data files, due to their data structure type.

If you own Adagio GridView, you could look at the contents of the data by creating a view on the A/P Check Audit table. I suspect that you'll find one or more records with greek-looking characters, or at least something invalid.

You probably will need the assistance of your Adagio consultant to repair the file.

Hi Marlon

Just out of curiousity, why do need to print the Check Number Audit List? In all my years of using Adagio, I've never had a client feel the need to print it. The only thing I can imagine it is useful for is to try to track down a check paid to a non-vendor.

You can purge the existing contents by deleting the APCAUD.xxx file. It will re-populate with any new check runs or postings.

Hello Steve,

Our controller uses it to track skipped check number and see why and what it is. This is how skipped check is explained to the auditors.

I'm open to suggestion if there is another route of achieving the same information. Maybe in reporting where you can put criteria?

Appreciate the suggestion, but I do not want to purge everything without a copy for future reference. (It's the just in case situation)

Softrak Support,

Thanks for the tip. Its all good now.
