Your questions raise more questions in my mind.
QUESTION ONE:
Normally, the account ranges are in column B, not C. What's in column B?
What I would do is insert a "hide-when-printed" column, let's call it column D. In there I would enter 8220-`. Then I would change the ADGET formula to refer to $D19, not $C19.
QUESTION TWO:
If you want to hardcode departments into the account range, how do you print out departmental reports? If you don't, then why have departments?
I would strongly suggest changing account 8190-2 to 8191-2 (or some other unused number). The main purpose for a chart of accounts is to support printing financial statements, and that is very hard to do if the same account needs to appear on multiple lines on a financial statement.
I am answering these questions without much knowledge of your situation - you might be better off bouncing your questions and my answers off of your Adagio consultant.
