In Order Entry is there a spec for Total Quantity Ordered that could be used on a Picking Slip. I find field F34 Total Quantity Invoiced, but not Total Quantity Ordered, but my eyes may be failing me again.

Hi David,

If you ever want to check whether a specification field exists, you can use the provided sample 'ALL' spec which lists all available codes. Simply copy this spec OE$ALL.SAM' to the company data and ensure the data extension is changed to match the company data. Then preview your document using this spec.

Total Quantity Ordered is currently not an available spec code. I can add your request for our suggestion list.

I came across this older post as I am likewise looking to add 'Total Quantity Ordered' as a field on an order confirmation. I do not see this field on the current 'All Specs' list. If I am missing it, could you please let me know otherwise, could a request be added for future consideration?

This has not changed in the addition of a new field. For clarification, are you looking for the Total (original) quantity ordered by specific item detail (in which case the D28 field that Doug suggested would be the answer), or the sum of all the Qty Ordered fields for all items on the order? I suspect you are looking for the latter choice.

Code F34 sums the total qty Shipped, but there currently are no fields for total quantity ordered or backordered. If we were to include these as new fields, they would simply sum the numbers as is, and not attempt to convert numbers based on alternate units of measure, so unless the items all used the same unit (each, kilograms, etc), then the result will be a mixed bag.

Thanks for the reply, and yes, I was looking for the sum of all Qty Ordered fields for all items ordered. In my particular case, a sum of the numbers would work just fine as units of measure are consistently the same. I see what you are saying about varying units of measure where a sum amount field would really serve no purpose.
