We are using FX to consolidate a number of Sage 50 datasets.
Before we have upgraded the files to Sage 50 the consolidation/retrival worked fine, and now after the upgrade the financial statement doesn't balance.

Why does it not work anymore?

After you investigate and test further, why don't you post your findings here? Any sort of answer requires more information.

Perhaps one of your databases is the cause of the problem. I'd recommend that you separate the retrieves to see if one is the cause of the problem. Combining databases can complicate the process. For example, there could be differences in the chart of accounts. Perhaps accounts were changed, added or made inactive. Perhaps there are differences in the fiscal calendars. With a combined retrieve, I assume you're separating databases with a unique department for each.

There are 3 files that I retrieve to FX to generate a consolidated Income Statement.
All 3 datasets are bringing in all the data, except the dataset that has multiple departments. This one brings in all data except for the additional departments.

Looks like you have identified a problem with the FX retrieval from Sage 50.

You will need to upload BOTH the Simply database where you feel that the retrieval is not working as well as a backup of the FX database.

I will also need the sysadmin password for the Sage 50 data. Please email me this information as well as any other info you feel will be useful in helping to resolve the issue.

Be forewarned that if this turns out to be a FX problem a solution may well take months!

Turns out that there is an issue when retrieving from Sage 50 where the Sage 50 database has Departments and you want to assign the accounts to "departments" in FX.

In this case using BUREXP or BUREXP* does not retrieve the Sage 50 departments.

The workaround is to use BUREXP? and all is OK.
