I was wondering if there is a way to changed the sort order when viewing vendor transaction details (I don't use AR but assume it would be the same for customer transactions) Meaning that when I go into the vendor transaction details screen I would like to see the most current invoice at the top - I know once you are in the grid and hit the end key it would take you to the bottom record but it would be great if there was a way to change the sort order in the date column.

Thanks any advise or tips would be appreciated.

Hi Teresa,

At the current time, Adagio Payables does not support changing the sort order of vendor transactions to Descending order or any other way than what is presented. This is possible to do already in the current release of Adagio Receivables and when viewing either the customer Current or Historical transactions selection, by right-clicking on the transactions grid and selecting either Ascending or Descending.

Receivables has undergone a major database conversion process that allowed this functionality, and Payables has not yet had the same database changes that we plan to do.

If you are simply wanting to do a lookup by transaction, it is possible to create a GridView inquiry workspace that connects the vendor number to the transaction lists - which in turn can be sorted in any way you want, including by date descending.

Sorry there is no way to change the sort order. This could only be accomplished with a custom report or GridView.

Is there any chance that we will one day be able to change the sort order in the transaction grid in Adagio Receivables?

You can right mouse click on the Grid Titles and sort either Ascending or Descending by document date. Is that what you're looking for?

No. I knew that. I was thinking sort by different fields other than the date.

Not until we implement Filters for the transaction files. Sorry.

Ok. But that's something that will happen eventually?
