Actually John, I was quite serious. The AOC is where we teach this stuff, otherwise you get to rely on the skills of the heavyweights who invest in that training.

The Currency and Task Folders are not set up the way you think they are. That's the best information we can provide over the forum.

Actually, Andrew, I was quite serious in my comments as well!

I will continue with the hack and will table this issue for now as I suspect the fix is not serious one.

I guess it is all how one defines a technical support forum isn't it?

Cheers, JK

Hi JohnK

I don't have an answer for you as to why you are experiencing this problem now.

If I have a workaround that works and isn't too painful, I don't think too hard about figuring out a way to avoid needing it. I leave that to smarter people.

Steve, i have a similar issue. I have a user who is assigned to a group which has "permit all". The user can open Ledger, Order Entry, Sales Analysis but not the other programmes. Note the user was recently moved to this group to give additional rights. I get message "unable to login. Group " " assigned to user " " is not valid.

All the data are in the same path - /Softrak/data

Hi CPS

This is not exactly the same issue. In JohnK's case the problem was across companies, and you are talking across modules. My workaround of copying the ADSPROF file won't work for you.

I need to know more. Which modules can't the user access?

Can you attach a screenshot of the message. Something doesn't look right in the way you typed it.

Steve
