I'm trying to do an Adagio workstation setup using \softrak\allwkst\allwkst.exe.

Client workstations are Windows 7 64 Bit

this is a brand new PC, so this is a new install.

We are getting the following error message:

The file
N:\SOFTRAK\system\WIN32\p2irssi.cfg could not be opened.

What is the file date of the p2irssi.cfg in the specified path? Mine is Feb 14, 2012 with all current applications installed.
What rights does the user performing the workstation setup have to the workstation and server?
When does this error occur - during the workstation setup or when the program is launched?

The path you provided is to the server and the program system directory. Files in this folder will have been put there by the main program installation and not the workstation setup. The workstation setup will copy this file to C:\windows\crystal on the workstation.

Perhaps the user does not have the appropriate rights to either this folder of the file on the network, or the rights to put the file into the local windows directory. I am unaware if User Account Control has any affect.

If you haven't already, I would turn UAC off, at least as a precaution.

This happens during workstation setup (installation.)

Their IT company is confirming that they have FULL rights to the folders and to their workstaion. I kind of suspect it's a rights issue.

I have had unreliable results with the allwkst.exe program. When it works, it is wonderful; at other times -- for no reason I can determine -- not so much.

Have you tried the \softrak\programname\wksetup\wksetup.exe ? I have found that sometimes that works when allwkst does not.
