I need to import into excel my net change for every account for every month in the year. Does anyone know of a simple report to do this? Is there a sample data for it.

Thank you

Hi,

If you click Help on the Ledger main menu, then Contents and select the 'Import File Requirements Notes' link, you'll find detailed information on importing Net Changes and other imports as well. Please read very carefully. Depending on what is really being done and whether there are any transactions posted to the year you are trying to import to, there are restrictions. It may be that another of the imports would work better for you, depending on the circumstances.

Always make sure you have a backup prior to doing any import.

It may well be best that you seek the advice of your Adagio consultant prior to beginning an import.

Import INTO Excel or export TO Excel?

If you want to send the Net Changes to Excel, create an export template and select the accounts you want.

BTW - if this is to send the year's figures to the accountant for preparation of the year end statements, ask them if they are using a product called "Caseware" (most Canadian firms do). If so, just nackup the whole general ledger and send the ZIP file to them. Caseware can import the data directly.

Thank you so much. I know there was an easy way. Didn't think about exporting as I seem to always be importing data. Thank you again. Easy Peasy!!!!
