I need to make some small corrections to the 2011 W-2s. The Prior Year Adjustment option is not working. It's asking for dates in the year 2000. Is this where the corrections would be made? And if so why the error message?

This forum is for Adagio specific questions and Adagio does not have a payroll program. Please let us know which payroll program you are using. Likely someone on this forum will be familar enough to answer your question.

You are using 21st Century Payroll for Adagio, and you should mention that when you post a question.

Yes, that is the correct place to make prior year adjustments. Without seeing the data, I wouldn't be able to explain why it is not working.

You should contact your 21st Century Payroll consultant.

Thank you - I didn't know that Adagio supported different payroll programs. I'm a bit confused though. Adagio supports other 3rd party-written modules. Why not 21st Century Accounting.

As an FYI -- I've been working on this problem since last week and have gotten no help. I've already contacted the software consultant -- no response from several trys. My Adagio rep does not have the answer either (at this point).

I'm quite frustrated.

Just to be clear about words - Adagio is a software product, not a company. The developer of Adagio is Softrak Systems, Inc.

Softrak does not sell or support 3rd party products, the 3rd party does.

Your problem is not Adagio-related or for that matter with 21st Century. Your problem is with your consultant who doesn't respond. Consider finding a new one. You can ask Hilbert Software, the developer of 21st Century Payroll for Adagio, for a consultant in your area. Their website is www.adagiopr.com

I am a consultant for 21st Century Payroll. If you were to ask me a question about it I didn't know the answer to, I would find out from Hilbert tech support.

Aaah, semantics - "support" is a slippery term. We "support" developers in helping them develop integrated interfaces to Adagio, and introducing their solutions to our Adagio clients and consultants.

However, we are not in a position to learn all the details about the operation of their modules, and look to them to answer specific questions raised.

When a question about one of their proucts is posted here, we let both the developer and consultant know that an issue has been raised. That's about the limit we can offer, but sometimes it's all that's needed.
