I am trying to edit the contol account set (in order to do a manual cheque run from anohter bank account), and I get the following error message: 'Uncleared Posting Journals and/or cheque register exist. Control account cannot be modified. Print and Clear all posting journals and the check register'.

There are no posting journals to print. In past, I ave not had a problem changing the control account. Please advise!!!

Have you also printed and cleared the Check Reconciliation (posting) Journal? What about the Check Register?
