Hi, Carla,
Whether the account-department codes are being read from the Job, Phase or Category depends on the Revenue Tracking Level defined on the Job record. You might be checking the Job record accounts, when really you need to be checking the Phase or Category record.
Also, if the account-department code fields are blank on the Job, Phase, Category record, then this information will get read (default) from what is defined within the Company Profile, Accounts tab.

Hi Carla: As an Adagio consultant myself, I have 2 thoughts. First, is it possible that Job Cost was set up correctly initially and that the problems have happened since then (ie. when new Jobs etc are created)? In other words, could it be a training issue?
Secondly, if you believe that the problems have existed from Day 1, you are entitled to ask your consultant to address the problem on a basis that is acceptable to you. We make our livings by having satisfied clients and that means solving problems. He or she would rather hear from you now and get a chance to address the issue than find out later that you're dissatisfied.
