We are running AR 9.0B. For the past few days we have been getting an integrity error regarding an alert on a certain customer. The alert was deleted (as alerts sometimes are), but it still keeps popping up anyway. So even though there is no actual alert on the customer's account, it still pops up each time the customer is accessed. Disturbing.

I ran a DI check, and it reported the error. Did a rebuild, it "fixed" the error so when DI was run again, no integrity errors showed up. I was giddy until I actually accessed the customer's account. The alert STILL pops up. How do we ever get rid of this alert now?

I've tried adding and deleting new alerts, with regular results. It is just this one alert. Any ideas of what to try now?

Thanks so much.

Barb:

The Rebuild function is not perfect. In this case it appears to have fixed the problem but hasn't.

Without actually seeing the data it's impossible to say if this could be fixed manually.

When all else fails a database repair is required.

Thanks Doug, I appreciate the input.

So as far as anyone at Softrak is aware, there are no known bugs that could be causing this?

Thank you all.

Hi Barb,

We had the exact same problem. This is a known problem to Softrak. I had to have my data repaired by Softrak in Nov 2010 to correct our customer alerts for the same thing you are describing. Since I found out that I have more customer alert errors, I was told on Nov 24, 2010 by Softrak that, "We have changed the DIC in Receivables to more accurately check the Alerts file. It will fix them when it is included in the next Service Pack. (Sorry, I don’t have a date for this SP since we’ll be holding it for a while to see if anything else turns up.)" and.. "We’re just gathering “issues” before we release a Receivables Service Pack, so you should have to wait too long".

So, if you can live with it a while it will be corrected when the Service Pack comes out. But if you need if fixed, Softrak can do a data repair.

Softrak.. when will the AR Service Pack be released to fix our customer alerts?

Hi, Susan,

Yes, I see that this is a known problem previously reported only by you. We are always working to improve the integrity checker in our products. Unfortunately, it is impossible to provide you a firm release date.
