Is it possible to set a default to ensure that product is not ordered beyond the max level through the PO unless approved by one person.

No, that is not possible. Item authorization by line item is not part of the application.

I suppose you could have PO requisitions created using the following min/max features, that require approvals to turn into an authorized PO.

The best you can do is set the profile to order up to the Maximum based upon the quantity set in Inventory Control. If you set to Maximum, the PO program will read the reorder qty maximum (in Inventory Control) and calculate the difference between the quantity on hand as the PO amount, on the PO for that Item.

Or you could possibly use the autogenerate to create PO's up to the maximum and restrict by security who can access.

You should really talk to your Adagio consultant to review other possible options that you might want to consider.
