I am currently using A/R, A/P and G/L and when I
attempt to print the posting batches to a file, an
error message appears. "Error Batch 524: Print Job Busy". Why is this happening?

Also, if I say no to purge can I say yes later?

Yes, if you say no to purge, you can print and purge posting journals later.

The 524 error has been difficult to nail down. Since we have encountered this error, reports have been modified to try to eliminate it and we have changed the install. My records show that you have the current versions for GL/AR/AP. If you have done a workstation setup for all the stations, you will have all the current DLLs. However, there are other programs that install Crystal files; the problem could be an older or newer DLL. (Run CHKSYS.EXE from Softrak\System to check that the files on your station are current.)

It may be caused by CRPE32.DLL, V8. Please make sure that the CRPE32.DLL in Windows\System (or the equivalent in your environment) has not been updated to an 8. version.

If it has been, try replacing it with the CRPE32.DLL in Softrak\System.

Another file to check is the U2FTEXT.DLL in the Windows\Crystal directory. It should be version 8.5.0.66 or later. You will also find a copy of this DLL in Softrak\System.

Another thing to try is printing posting journals without including GL summaries.

If the error still occurs, I will need to know a lot more about your environment. One other note, once the error occurs, it will occur on every print until the station is restarted.
