In the GL, How do I consistently get reports to print out double-sided? The default setting in my computer is double-sided, but Adagio seems to have trouble recognizing it and, more often than not, prints out single-sided, even after I have double-checked the set-up options within Adagio. This is problematic for the larger reports, like the general ledger.

I'm pretty sure that Adagio doesn't change the printer settings for "sidedness", so my guess is that something (or someone) else is changing them on you.

If you create a logical printer with the double-sided option set, you can tell Adagio to print all its reports to this printer (under File | Options).

Andrew has the correct answer. You need a rinter driver setup dedicated to duplex printing and then use the File Option as assign this specific printer for your reports.

I already have a logical printer set-up and that doesn't seem to have resolved the problem. However, upon experimenting, I have just discovered that if I go into the preview pane, click on set-up and verify the print setting, then press print from the preview pane, it will double-side. If I omit this extra step it single-sides, regardless of the settings defined in the print options, and regardless of whether I print from this pane or simply choose print.

I'm curious. Exactly what version and release date of Ledger are you using. You can get this information easily by selecting Help | About from the main menu. The release date is the 6 character number in parentheses to the right of the version code.

Also, do you know if reports from other Adagio modules will consistently print double-sided when using the Print button?

It's definitely not necessary to go through these extra steps (though this may have been a issue with older versions of Adagio).

What version of Adagio Ledger are you using? The can be checked from the Help menu and About.

We have had a few clients indicate that the duplexing when printing reports did not work in Adagio Ledger where it did in every other Adagio program. In many cases using a different printer or driver worked, and in some cases the problem was isolated to some reports in Ledger and not others.

I have no trouble printing double-sided from the AR module, only the GL.

There is a GL9.0B hotfix that may resolve this problem for you. It does resolve some other issues that were reported but I dont' have verification about this problem in particular.

If you contact your dealer, they will be able to get this hotfix for you. After it's installed, I would appreciate you posting to let us know if the problem was resolved for you or not.
