Hi there,

trying to add Item Number and BO qty to a new or Order action Default, and it gives me a massage: (Item number highlighted:)
Starting value cannot be greater than the ending value...

can you please assist..

Hi, Andreas,

What do you have as values in both your Starting and Ending Item Number fields?

For example, if you entered a number or other code as a Starting value but left the Ending value 'blank', you would receive this message.

If you have a 'blank' as the ending value and what you really want is to show the 'last' possible value for an item code, in the Ending fiel, type as many z characters as the field will allow.

Hi I left them as is...from empty to zzzzzzzzz... which should work...

i know i could take an item number to the same item number, but even this does not work...

What version of OE are you running? Do your Items use one segment or more than one (as defined in the IC company profile).

There was a known issue with this in an older version of OE and single-segmented item codes, but has been resolved in a service pack, or it may hae been a hot fix. Ensure you have the most current version of OE installed.

Also, if you have the "Remember report settings" option turned on, then turn it off, print the report, and go back and turn it on again.

Hi Andrew,

thanks, I tried the remeber report settings..didn't change anything...still gives the same message.

...in Item Number i leave the first field blank... (default) and the last field with ZZZZZZZZZ (default)...already explained before..this should work...does not work...

even if i put first item number to first item number..it does not work...

i do not recall a hotfix for this...well i did not receive one.

As asked in our previous post, what version of OE are you using? Check the Help / About screen for this information.

Hot fixes are not automatically sent out to everyone, as they only fix very specific issues. You should contact your Adagio consultant for this.

Thank you. You need the hot fix dated Sept 2, 2009. This issue was fixed here:

The Order Action report in version 8.1C (2009.07.31) falsely gave the error "Starting value cannot be greater than ending value" when single segment item numbers are used.
