I am trying to modify the format of a form and I get a "Div By Zero" error message. Please advise if anyone knows what I need to do to correct this.

What program? GridView? Crystal Reports? Financial Reporter? Antoher?

You will need to create a formula that does something like:
IF({Amount1} <> 0 , {Amount2} / {Amount1} , 0)

or maybe
IF Amount1 <> 0 THEN Amount2 / Amount1 ELSE 0

or something similar. You need to build into the formula a condition that tests for the divisor being zero and if it is, give different results than performing the division operation.

The form I am editing is an invoice under O/E. It is edited using the form edit program. This has never happened before.

OK so this is for modifying a specification form. At what point does the error occur - when opening the spec in the designer, modifying the properties of an object, or some other process? Does this error happen when any of the other other specifications or just this one?

These are the exact steps I take to achieve error message;

1. Open OE
2. Select "Maintenance"
3. Select "Maintain Specification" (Order Designer opens)
4. I select "Open" Then select the invoice i want to modify, in this case oe$inpck.***
5. I can select/delete/move any item but , when I select field/label etc... and try to put one of these fields in the form I get a pop up that says;
ADAGIO/INVOICE ORDER DESIGNER
X DIVISION BY ZERO
I cannot modify any form without getting this message.

Please advise.

I haven't been able to duplicate this behaviour.

Try creating a new specification or opening one of the spec Templates from the File / Open Template menu, then the same process that is giving you the error. If this works, then the problem lies with your invoice specification(s).

If this also gives the same 'division by zero' error, then you may have had an installation problem where the designer program is out of synch with the rest. What is the file date and version of your OEWDESGN.EXE program in the \softrak\oewin directory?
