We are just starting to think about switching to EFTs for payments to our vendors. Up to this point it has all been paper cheques. Do you have advice on things that need to be considered when doing this switchover? What are the steps involved with getting Adagio ready for EFTs? Once we are ready to roll with EFTs what types of reports will be generated by Adagio, ie what processes are involved from inputting the invoices to getting the payments into the vendors accounts. Is there any sample data available that would allow us to see what the reports would look like with EFT payments.

The Telpay access is built into Adagio Payables.

Others, like direct bank links, can be created by Softrak, for a fee. They generally do not provide the functionality of Telpay.

Hello Sandra,

Using TelPay, there is virtually no change to the process of doing system cheque runs. TelPay sends the necessary advices to your clients and will get their banking information if necessary (they already know most business bank accounts in Canada). There is some setup paperwork with them.

We like their service a lot and believe it is much nicer (and more secure) than any EFT service currently offered by the banks.

As Ralph mentioned, we will provide EFT through other providers for a fee if necessary.
