I would like to generate an email to all my A/R Customers that have not made a transaction for over 90 days (for example).

I am able to generate the list in Gridview, using the A/R tables and filtering on Last Invoice Date. (I can include the Customer Name, Contact Person and Email among the fields.)

So, now I have this list, but...
How do automate a global email from this list?

Is there a way within Adagio for us to generate the emails? Or do we have to export the list and go another direction?
(Or should I be trying something else besides Gridview?)

I am open for ideas.

Word easily emails from an Excel spreadsheet. You can generate the list using GridView or the SmartFinder.

Hi Samuel

Andrew's method works beautifully, but of course I didn't just write to say that;)

You didn't say this, but I want to go one step further, and enter a note in each customer's record to the effect that an email was sent.

In order to do this, I want to be able to take the Excel file that is created in GridView and import it into a scan list in Adagio SalesCQ, and then generate the emails out of SalesCQ, which has that functionality. SalesCQ also has the ability to mass create customer notes.

For this to work, the Excel file need only be one column - the customer code. Once the scan list is generated, then SalesCQ uses the email and other fields straight from the database.

Oh, by the way, SalesCQ doesn't have the ability to import scan lists (yet). But if I have my way, it will someday.

AR 9.0 allows you to import notes. It would be trivial to take the excel sheet that contains the e-mail info and add a column for the Note text and import it.
