A customer had his fax machine break down and asked if I would email his invoices to him. Knowing Adagio does this, but never having done it I thought I would try. It gives me the error message of GetFontdata error. Anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

I kept trying and even though I have checked the allow email box, the email options (setup etc.) are not available. What am I missing?

Do you have security authority for sending e-mail? Do you have e-mail set up on the machine you're using?

I have security authorization for email. I can't get "email setup" to allow me in (it stays in grey, not black).

You may have 'Allow email' from File / Options, but you don't have security access to the Email Setup menu selection from the File / Group Setup screen.

You need to edit the security group and grant access to the email menu options. Or if you don't have the ability of editing the security groups, get your Adagio system administrator to set up the Email options or grant you access to do it.

I do have the Group set up ticked for fax/email. I have setup email in the AR but cannot do it in OE.

It might be the fonts you are using on the invoice can not be translated to the PDF.
Try a different specification or one of the ones from sample data.

I can't get the email options to allow me to set up in OE. The Group Setup is ticked to allow fax/email, the Options is ticked to allow email, in AR the email setup, etc. is black and I set it up and tested the email, but in OE the email is grey and I can't set up the email option.

Each program has it's own security setup. Just because you have access to a menu in AR does not mean that the same function is available in OE. Access the File / Group Setup in OE to allow access to the desired menus.

In the meantime, try what Chris suggested in case there is something in your specification that doesn't work with PDFs.

I know that each program has individual settings and for some reason it is not allowing me in on OE however I have gone in on System Administrator and set up the email options but still got the same results. I think you are right in thinking that something on our invoice (maybe the logo) is not PDF compatible. I haven't found any form to try that doesn't have this, however I told the customer that the program won't let me email and he will have to wait for snail mail.
