At the User Group meeting Andrew informed us that AR 9.0 will not be compatible with AccPac Plus anymore. This presents us with a problem as we import the orders into AccPac so that we can lookup by serial number. Does anyone have a suggestion as to an alternative. We need to be able to identify year, make, model and options through a serial number search. One person suggested exporting to excel, but I'm not sure how to do that. I haven't found a report in OE that displays the serial number line.

In Adagio Inventory, there is a Serial Number report that lists serial numbers from Order Entry and IC shipments, and can be found under the Transactions menu and the Shipments sub-menu. This report is updated after Day End in OE.

If you don't use Inventory, the Serial Numbers report can be found in OrderEntry under the Reports menu and the Price List Reports sub-menu.

You could also do a GridView inquiry on the OE Open or Historical Invoice files to search for particular serial number values.

What type of Serial Number lookup are you trying in Accpac OE that is not possible with Adagio OrderEntry?

We do use Inventory. I have tried to use the serial report, however I can only get a view on the last days transactions and therefore cannot figure a way to use this for exportting so that we can do a search on the numbers. Is there a way to recall prior serial numbers?
We enter each unit with a description line identifying the year, make, model, and options and then the serial number line. In AccPac we are able to search by serial number and locate the invoice, customer name, and item details. This is very important to us as it is used daily, numerous times.

Hello Sammy,

Please send me screen shots of the F3 - List Versions and the serial item inquiry screen from your Accpac Plus system. You can use PrtSc and paste the capture into a word document.

I have saved the version list in a Word Doc however, I am not sure how to send it to you. Sorry to be so dumb.
