Hi All,

After importing customer orders into Adagio OE Datacate generates errors (please see example)

Adagio OrderEntry:
Application Integrity
Document O 161401 total of tax 0 does not match calc 58.66
Document O 161406 total of tax 0 does not match calc 30.49
Orders/Invoice headers ... 38 error(s) found

It appeared the total tax amount calculated on line items (Details order tab) does not equal to Tax amount (Total order tab).

My questions are:
1. What happened to data when DC does the following?
Correcting Phase 2 Errors
*** Document O 161401 tax has been adjusted
*** Document O 161406 tax has been adjusted

2. What should be done in order not to have tax related DC errors?

Thank you
Victor

Hi, Victor,

When DC is rebuilding the errors it is changing the tax to what has been calculated.

If you want to avoid these types of errors, make sure the 'Calculate tax on' setting in your Company Profile is set to 'Detail line', rather than by total. The rounding will be more accurate.

Thank you,

Could you please be more specific: If 'Calculate tax on' set to order total which tax amount DC is changing and which amount is concidered as the 'tax calculated'.

Thank you again
Victor

Hi, Victor,

If the setting is for 'Detail line', tax is calculated for each detail line and rounding is done accordingly.

If the setting is for 'Totals', the tax and rounding is done on the total taxable order and the rounding might not be the same as what is calculated for each detail line.
