Moving to GL9.0 from 8.1, I have my file, password etc, first thing I get is locate my gl files. My data is in dir ASP/data, this is not what the upgrade is looking for. My gl files are in the directory softrak\alwin, again not what is looking for any ideas, I had zippo problems going to 8.1 so am confused.

Adagio Ledger 90A is installed to a \softrak\ledger directory, no longer \softrak\alwin as was the case in earlier versions of Adagio Ledger. Make sure your shortcut is pointing to the \softrak\ledger\ledger.exe application. If this is /ASP/data, then that will not have changed.

The location of your data files will not change, but they will get converted. Ensure you you a backup of your data first - this is part of the conversion process.
