I would like to NOT have the "no alternate price on file" warning come up every time I sell an item to a customer which is not on their price list. Is this possible?

I have about 12 price lists for certain customers. Each price list has only about a dozen special item prices pertinent to that customer. So if I sell them any other items - and there are thousands of items I might sell - every single time the "no alternate price" warning comes up.

Has anyone any ideas? Thanks.

Hello Chris,

It's just the message you want to get rid of? You can push the "OK" button just by hitting the spacebar. We have the message there in case you expected the item to be on the special price list, and wanted a warning.

Perhaps (yet another) option to disable the message would be useful.

In the Company Profile, on the System Options page, under Processing Options, choose the ‘Use base price list if not found’ option.

This was added in OrderEntry 8.0A (2006.08.25).

However, you still get the warning message.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, I'd like to be rid of the warning entirely, and was hoping for some option to accomplish that.

Hi Chris,
We have a similar situation with our inventory & customers.
We atually create price lists consisting of all of our inventory items, and then modify the few items that are actually different in price manually. That way there is no alert that an item is not on the price list. We do price changes annually, so it has to be maintained anually, but it eliminates the alert poppong up.
