Hello All,

I was at a client site yesterday and when doing the year end close function we ran into a problem. All was going until the last step of printing off the Batch Status report. When printed it asked of course to clear and of course we chose yes. All should be fine, however we get the reoccuring message that we still need to print and clear the Batch Status Report. It seems as though some prior deleted batches seem to be culprit, as they are coming up in the batch status report, but are not in current batches or can not edit them, but yet the system sees them. This may not be the issue, just an idea.
I would appreciate any feedback anybody has on the subject!

Hi, DC,

This results from batches having errors in them prior to their being converted to version 9.

There is a hotfix available to dealers with clients that do experience this problem. On our website, please access the Downloads | Partners area and download this file - Ledger 9.0A (080430).

Softrak,

The hotfix has been installed at the client site, computer has been rebooted, and batch status report was printed off and cleared, but yet it still says to print and clear.
Any ideas you have would be great!

Hi DC,

There were two parts to this hot fix. One is that data conversions performed using this fixed release will properly set the batch statuses for batches in error. But you are far past that.

The second part is that the Integrity check has been enhanced to deal with those batches that had their statuses improperly converted. You need to run a Data Integrity Check for Ledger and that should fix up the Batch Status file, and thus the report.

Morning Softrak,

The client ran the data integrity check and found the error to be incorrect GL accounts. However the case remains the same, still asking for the batch status to be printed and cleared even though it says it's cleared.

Please disregard that post, we are now able to proceed with year end, client had forgot to choose rebuild after running the data integrity check.

Well the hotfix should have resolved this problem with the DIC, if you had the same problem that it was designed to fix.

Printing and purging the batch status report only deletes 'posted' and 'deleted' status batches from the list. It will not purge 'open' or 'printed' status batches. This means that you have at least one batch on the status report that is open or printed for the current year.

If you look at the results of the batch status report for the current year, what batches are listed? All the posted and deleted batches will have been purged already. What are the status(es) of the batch(es)? And are these batches still actually open and not yet posted?
