My customer is getting this error repeatedly in Order Entry since upgrading to 8.1A (070826).
It normally occurs while creating invoices and appears to be non-fatal.
Any ideas?

Does the data pass the DIC? Where (specifically) does the error occur? Does CHKSYS report any problems with the install?

This client has >1Gb database with 75,000+ inventory items, I'm wondering if this is a network timeout issue similar to the 'exception reading...' errors.

Are you printing from the Preview screen or using the Print funciton?

Did a search, and nobody else has reported this error. Is the 'invalid pointer' error the first error that occurs, or was there another one that happened first? Sometimes this error can be a symptom of a problem further up the chain.

Does 'repeatedly' mean every time or frequently or often enough?
Is this a problem for all users, or only some?
Does print preview give the same error? Print/Fax/Email?
Printing from Current or Historical invoices?
Printing from the grid or the Print Invoices function under Maintenance, or both?
Do all invoices specifications have the same problem, or just the one in use?
Does sample data have the problem?

'Repeatedly' means 'Often enough to be annoying'
Only one user has reported this problem, but this is the only user with volume.
Print preview is fine.
Printing from current invoices.
Printing from the grid window.
All invoice specs display same problem.

Have yet to test sample data, now 5:02pm on Friday...
