Found what looks to be a bug in OE.

Reports > Transaction Reports > Sales

If you enter a customer range that produces no results, you still get the totals showing on the report.

For example, in OE samdata i set the customer range from "ZZZZZ" to "ZZZZZZ" (that's 5 z's to 6 z's) and hit preview. The report will pull up no transactions, but will still list values for "Report Totals".

Minor bug, but huge annoyance as it sent us on a wild goose chase trying to figure out why the report was finding values without finding the details (did they accidentally purge report? does gridview find the details? have they printed and cleared the D/E audit lists? etc).

This 'Report Totals' section is a sub-report, which is why it is showing non-zero amounts (FYI as if all details were selected) when no details were selected.

If this section was simply suppressed if there were no details selected for the report, would this be sufficient?

That'd be great. As long as the "total" always equals the "sum of the details" i'm happy!
