We received an email that an upgrade for DataCare was available.
I downloaded it but when I went to run it, the message said ..."has no valid digital signature-should not run it."

How do I know it is a legitimate download and I should proceed to run it?

The computer you are using to install the upgrade must have a live internet connection in order for the digital signature to be verified. If you have a live connection, then don't install this upgrade until the signature verifies the program is from "Softrak Systems Inc.".

I've confirmed that the download Upgrade is correctly signed.

If the machine you are installing the Upgrade on does not have an internet connection, then you can continue to install the Upgrade.
