I've installed the GL version 9.

In version 8.1 I could print a detail listing of multiple asset accounts and the report would give me a total of all the account balances.

In version 9 when I do this I only get a net posted balance. How can I get a total balance of a range of asset accounts to print? I know I must be missing something obvious!

In Adagio Ledger 9, the 'Net Posted' and 'Balance' columns were merged into the same column on the Detail Listing report. When an account has transactions in multiple fiscal periods, you should see the Net Posted amount in this right-most column of the report. At the end of the account, the Balance for the specific account is listed. At the very bottom of the report on the last page, the total Balance of all accounts on the report is there, along with Total Debits and Total Credits. Are these the numbers you are looking for? All you should need to do is select the account range for your assets and print.

If you find that the account balance total is not appearing for you, could send us a copy of the Detail List report (both from version 9.0 and the version you had previously) either by fax 604.736.6431 or as PDF attachments to support (at) softrak dot com? Thank you.

The report required this re-organization of the Net Posted and Balance columns to accomodate the larger account description and additional information stored on the transaction details.

I've just emailed the two reports showing the missing total in the version 9 print out. I emailed these to support@softrak.com. It was not sent to anyone in particular. Please let me know if you do not receive it.

Thank you for sending the information and indeed the total here has changed from the Total Balances of selected accounts to the Total Net Posted for the selected accounts.

I have sent you an updated report file by email, with that changed reversed to the way it was in Ledger 81A, and instructions to save the file to your system. Can you let us know if this helps the situation.
