In Order Entry Ship to Addresses column editor, when you double click on the top to bring up the list of available search fields, there is one named "filler". What is it and where is it accessible to put information into it?

This is my problem. We have a few accounts with a head office and multiple ship to addresses. There may be a different sales rep for the ship to addresses than the default set up for the head office. I am looking for some way to enter the sales reps info into the ship to addresses so it is readily available to change the default sales rep when entering an order/invoice. Any suggestions?

Hello Taylor,

Hmmm - "Filler"s are not supposed to be visible in the Column editor - they reserve space for fields we decide to add in the future.

Could you use one of the address lines to store the sales rep?

I do not want to put sales rep info in an address field as this information is used on the invoice and also on shipping labels if I ever figure out how to print them. I have thought of two ways: to enter sales rep info into an active alert which will pop up when you "enter" on the ship to code or
to put it in the e-mail field, as we do not use e-mail. But I found that didn't work because it wasn't the proper format.

Hi Taylor,

Your "alert" method seems like the best work around for now.

In the future, maybe a good use for one of those "fillers" would be to add a Salesperson Code field to the Ship To Addresses setup whereby if used, it will overide the Customer default.

Hi Taylor,

If you want to use the e-mail field, you could just put "@x.com" afer the Salesperson name or initials. Looks a bit silly, but will work.
